On 9 September 2013, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed the Indictment under which the Accused Goran Sarić is charged with the criminal offense of Genocide in violation of Article 171 of the Criinal Code of BIH as read with Article 180(1) and (31) of the said Code.

The Indictment alleges, among other things, that the Accused Goran Sarić, in the capacity as Commander of the Special Police Brigade of the RS Ministry of Internal Affairs, along with other units of the army and police, aware of the intent of the principal perpetrators, knowingly aided the members of the joint criminal enterprise in commission of the criminal offense of genocide in Srebrenica, which has resulted in the forcible transfer of 40,000 residents - Bosniaks and summary execution of more than 8,000 Bosnaik men and boys, which thus led to partial extermination of Bosniak population from Srebrenica enclave.
