In conversation with the Court President, Ms. Meddzida Kreso, the support of the US Government to further work of the Court of BiH has been confirmed. The Court President emphasized the importance of continued US Government support and requested assistance in the resolving of problems the Court of BiH had been facing. The need for closer cooperation with the Courts in the region was emphasized, particularly in the area of sanctioning policies that differ, not only in the countries of the region, but also in the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Therefore, the President Kreso repeated the need to harmonize the sanctioning policy. During the meeting, assistance was sought for strengthening the capacities of the Court of BiH, in order for this Court to be able to work on complex cases independently after the transitional period. Ambassador Williams said that the attention of the US Government focused, among other issues, on the work of the Court of BiH that enjoyed its every support.
