Janjić Miroslav

Miroslav Janjić was born in Sarajevo on 10 June 1981.

 

He graduated in 2005 from the School of Law, University of Istočno Sarajevo. He passed the State Exam in 2007 before the Commission for taking a state exam for authorized official persons. He completed basic training for employees of the RS Ministry of Internal Affairs in 2007 at the Banja Luka Police Academy, having the rank of junior inspector.

He passed his bar exam in 2008.

He has held the following positions:

- prosecutor at the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Special Department for War Crimes and the Special Department for Organized Crime and Corruption;

- prosecutor at the Economic Crime Department of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office in Sarajevo;

- prosecutor at the General Crime Department of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office in Sarajevo;

- legal officer at the Special War Crimes Department of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina;

- inspector for suppression of general crime at the Republika Srpska Ministry of Interior;

- Head of a Group for Administrative Law Affairs at the Republika Srpska Ministry of Interior,

- trainee at the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina;

- Chairman, Public Procurement Commission, Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina;

- member of a second-instance disciplinary commission at the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina;

- Head of the Municipal Election Committee Istočna Ilidža.

 

He has successfully defended his doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Law, University of Mostar, whereby he acquired the academic and professional title of PhD in Social Sciences, field of science: law – branch: criminal procedure law.

Elected to the scientific-teaching position of docent (associate professor) at the study program of Transport and Logistics at the University of Mostar.

Practice lecturer at the Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies at the University of Sarajevo, course: “Criminalistics 5 – Methodics”.

He has published eleven scientific papers. Participated in a number of seminars and science conferences.

Speaks English and German.

By Decision of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of 22 December 2022 he was appointed as a judge at the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
