High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, H.E. Christian Schmidt, visited the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and met with President of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ranko Debevec, Head of the Court’s Criminal Division, Judge Minka Kreho, and Registrar for the Court, Emira Hodžić.

The meeting discussed joint activities and efforts of the two institutions made within the process of the strengthening of the rule of law.

The High Representative has been informed of the activities and the capacities of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina in connection with the Court’s overall jurisdiction, its cooperation with institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the region and abroad, as well as the activities relating to the efficient prosecution of war crimes, corruption, organized crime and terrorism.

The High Representative expressed his support for the Court, having emphasized the importance of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the process of strengthening the rule of law considering the responsibilities and the jurisdiction of this institution provided by the law.
