On 21 December 2023 the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued a Decision in the case of Ranko Debevec et al. (S1 2 K 047095 23 Krn) and remanded the suspects Ranko Debevec and Osman Mehmedagić in custody, following their arrest; according to the Decision, their custody may last for a maximum of one month, i.e. until 18 January 2024, or until the Court issues a new Decision, due to the existence of specific custody grounds referred to in Article 132(1)b) of the CPC BiH.

The two are suspected of committing the criminal offenses of Abuse of Office or Official Authority under Article 220(1) CC BiH, and Forging Official Documents under Article 226(2) CC BiH, in conjunction with Articles 29 and 53 CC BiH.
