Judgment delivered following guilty plea agreement in N. R. case

Having held a guilty plea agreement consideration hearing and a sentencing hearing in the case of N. R., on 29 March 2024 the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina delivered a Judgment finding the accused N. R. guilty of the criminal offense of Organized Crime under Article 250 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CC BiH), as read with the criminal offense of Money Laundering under Article 209 CC BiH.

The Court sentenced the accused to one (1) year of imprisonment, and fined him with 3,000.00 BAM.

 

The accused N. R. is charged that he became a member of a group for organized crime, which was organized with the aim of obtaining ill-gotten gain by appropriating passenger motor vehicles, their disassembling and further smuggling and sale of those parts in Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro. It is further said that the accused, together with other members of the group, has over a prolonged period of time, from the year 2012 to 8 July 2014, upon a previous agreement with the group members whose task was to steal passenger motor vehicles, with the intention to conceal the criminal offense, the perpetrators, the origin and their true owners, and the sale of such dismantled vehicles as spare parts, took over the stolen cars, drove them to previously prepared location in the place of Kula-Bjelosavljevići, an estate owned by S.B., or the vehicles were taken there directly by the group members who had stolen them, after which, together with Č.Z., M.M. and other involved persons, by the use of grinding and other machines and tools, they dismantled the stolen cars while removing the vehicle’s identification details, and set aside the parts that were more favorable for transport and further sale, while burning and cutting the remaining parts into smaller pieces, with the aim of covering up the traces of their criminal offense.
