Third-Instance Judgment Delivered in Alisa Ramić et al.

For the purposes of public interest, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina finds it appropriate to issue an official public statement regarding the case that has been conducted in relation to the accused Alisa Ramić et al. The Appellate Division Panel of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has handed down a Third-Instance Judgment in the case of Alisa Ramić et al. by which it dismissed as ill-founded the appeals filed by defense counsel for the accused Alisa Ramić and the BiH Prosecutor's Office, and upheld the Second-Instance Judgment.

The Second-Instance Judgment found the accused Alisa Ramić guilty and sentenced her to two years and six months of imprisonment concerning the criminal offense of Giving False Statement under Article 348 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of BiH.

 

Conversely, the appeals filed by the accused Hasan Dupovac and his defense counsel were granted, and the Second-Instance Judgment was reversed so that the accused Hasan Dupovac is now acquitted of the charges concerning the continued criminal offense of Abuse of Office or Official Authority under Article 383 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of BiH.

 

No appeal lies from this Judgment.
