The Indictment inter alia alleges that the accused Kuvelja, as a Police Officer within the II Squad of the 1st Company of the Training Center Jahorina, together with other members of the Platoon, on 12 July 1995 took part in the search of a wider area of Potočari inhabited by Bosniaks. The searches were conducted with an aim of rounding up Bosniak civilians in the “collective center Potočari“.
The accused Kuvelja together with other members of the 1st Company did the separation of male civilians of the age from 7 to 70 and took them to a house known as “the White House“ in Potočari, where they were detained and psyically abused. Furthermore, the accused Kuvelja, in the evening hours of 13 July 1995, together with other members of the Training Center Jahorina, took part in the killing of more than a thousand captured Bosniak men, whom the members of the Šekovići II Squad did not get to kill by the time.
The accused Kuvelja took part in the killing between 50 and 100 Bosniak men who had survived by the time in front of the Kravica warehouse. As further alleged in the Indictment, the accused Kuvelja took part in the killing of a group of about 100 surviving Bosniak men from the Kravica warehouse who had been deceived to come out in order to get medical assistance. Once they come out, members of the Training Center Jahorina, firing bursts from automatic weapons, executed the civilians while the accused Kuvelja “verified“ each man who was still alive by shots from an automatic rifle.
