
Accused Marić is found guilty in as much as, on 10 September 1992, after the burial of a killed soldier of the Army of Republika Srpska, together with other members of an organized group of armed people, having jointly agreed on the plan to round up civilian Bosniak population located in the place of Ljoljići-Čerkazovići, Jajce Municipality, with the intention to take them away and kill them at the place called Tisovac, he took part as a co-perpetrator in the unlawful deprivation of liberty and forcible removal from their homes of civilian Bosniak population and their rounding up in the place called Osoje. Thereupon they took the imprisoned civilians to the place called Tisovac where they ordered them to line up one next to another, next to the edge of an abyss, and when they did that, members of the armed group opened bursts of gunfire whereupon they killed 23 persons; four other persons sustained bodily injuries and one person remained unharmed. During their apprehension, the detained persons were subjected to physical and mental abuse by the group members, and forced to surrender all valuable items they had on them.
The Trial Panel also issued the Decision to Extend Custody which, pursuant to this Decision, cannot exceed nine months, unless the Verdict becomes final within this time period, in which case the accused Zoran Marić will remain in custody until he is committed to serve his prison term, which cannot exceed the length of the pronounced prison term.
