Indictment Confirmed in Zijad Mutap et al.

On 19 July 2021 the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed the Indictment issued in the case of Zijad Mutap et al. charging the accused with the following criminal offenses:

  • the accused Zijad Mutap with the criminal offense of Organized Crime under Article 342(3) as read with the criminal offense of Illegal Interceding under Article 382(2), the criminal offense of Accessory after the Fact under Article 346(2) of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CC FBiH), and the criminal offense of Tampering with Evidence under Article 349(1) CC FBiH;

 

  • the accused Alisa Ramić, formerly Mutap, the criminal offense of Organized Crime under Article 342(2) as read with the criminal offense of Accessory after the Fact under Article 346(2) of the CC FBiH, the criminal offense of Tampering with Evidence under Article 349(1) CC FBiH, and the criminal offense of Giving a False Statement under Article 348(3) as read with Paragraph 1 of the CC FBiH;

 

  • the accused Hasan Dupovac the criminal offense of Organized Crime under Article 342(2) as read with the criminal offense of Illegal Interceding under Article 382(2), and the criminal offense of Accessory after the Fact under Article 346(2) of the CC FBiH;

 

  • the accused Josip Barićthe criminal offense of Organized Crime under Article 342(2) as read with the criminal offense of Illegal Interceding under Article 382(2), and the criminal offense of Accessory after the Fact under Article 346(2) of the CC FBiH:

 

  • the accused Muamer Ožegović the criminal offense of Organized Crime under Article 342(2) as read with the criminal offense of Accessory after the Fact under Article 346(2) of the CC FBiH.

 

The Indictment, inter alia, alleges that the accused Zijad Mutap has organized a group for organized crime with the aim of hiding the evidence on the manner in which Dženan Memić sustained grave life-threatening bodily injuries on 8 February 2016, due to which he ultimately died, whose members became the accused Hasan Dupovac, Alisa Ramić, formerly Mutap, Josip Barić and Muamer Ožegović, so that by hiding the evidence and perpetrators, by fabricating the evidence, and by hiding the facts known to them, they undertook acts with the aim of covering up the actual manner in which Dženan Memić sustained grave life-threatening bodily injuries.
