Maida Bikić was born on 25^th August 1957 in Bosanski Šamac. She completed her elementary and Grammar School in Modriča and graduated from the Faculty of Law in Sarajevo in 1982. Immediately after her graduation, she started working in the operational and professional services of the Municipal Assembly of Modriča, and in 1983 she started off as an intern in the Basic Court in Modriča. She passed the bar exam in 1984, and in the same year was appointed a judge of that court, where she worked until 1990, when she was selected for the position of a Deputy Municipal Public Prosecutor in Modriča. She worked on that position until 1992. From 2000 to 2002, she worked as an advisor in the Office for the Representation of the Federation of BiH before the Human Rights Chamber, from 2002 to 2003 as an attorney, and on 15th December 2003 she was appointed to the position of a judge in the Municipal Court in Sarajevo, where she worked in the Economic Crime Division for 3 years as a judge and the President of the Division. She carried out these duties until her appointment to the position of a judge of the Court of BiH on 1st July 2010.
