On 16 December 2025 the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed an Indictment in the case of Mićo Olović (S1 1 K 053416 25 Kro) charging the accused Mićo Olović with the criminal offense of Crimes against Humanity under Article 172(1)h), as read with Paragraphs e) and i), and in conjunction with Article 180(1) of the BiH Criminal Code.
The accused is charged with having, in the period from early May 1992 to mid-August 1992, during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina and during the armed conflict between the Territorial Defense of the Serb Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, subsequently the Army of Republika Srpska (hereinafter: the VRS) and the Police of the Serb Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, subsequently the Police of Republika Srpska, on the one hand, and the Territorial Defense of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, subsequently the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the other hand, acting contrary to the rules of international law, violating the provisions of the Geneva Convention on the Protection of Civilian Victims of Armed Conflicts, within the framework of a widespread and systematic attack by the VRS and the Police of Republika Srpska on the Muslim civilian population of the municipality of Foča, as a member of the Police of Republika Srpska, in his capacity as Commander of the Miljevina Station Department, Foča Public Security Station, as superior to all active and reserve police officers of the Miljevina Station Department, actively participated in the attack by planning, carrying out, ordering and inciting the persecution of the Bosniak civilian population on national, religious and ethnic grounds, through unlawful detention, enforced disappearance and inhumane acts aimed at causing great suffering to civilians.
