On 12 November 2021, having accepted the guilty plea agreement and having held a sentencing hearing, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina delivered and pronounced a judgment finding the accused Goran Višković guilty of the criminal offense of Crimes against Humanity under Article 172(1)h) CC BiH, as read with Subparagraphs a), e), i) and k), all in conjunction with Article 29 CC BiH and Article 180(1) CC BiH.
Pursuant to Article 55(1) and Article 53(1) CC BiH, the Court sentenced the accused Goran Višković to 8 (eight) years of imprisonment, while taking as already established the sentence of 18 (eighteen) years of imprisonment, imposed by the final judgment of the Court of BiH, No. X-KR-05/122 dated 4 February 2010, so that, pursuant to Article 53(2)b) CC BiH, it ultimately sentenced the accused to a compound sentence of 20 (twenty) years of imprisonment.
The accused Goran Višković was found guilty that between April 1992 and late 1993, in the territory of Vlasenica and Milići municipalities, in the framework of a widespread and systematic attack launched by the Serb Republic of BiH military and police, directed against non-Serb civilians in the Vlasenica and Milići municipalities, knowing of the attack and that his actions constitute a part thereof, as a member of the military police of the Republika Srpska Army – VP 7296 Milići, he participated in the persecution of non-Serb civilians on ethnic and religious grounds by way of killings, other grave deprivation of physical liberty in violation of the basic rules of international law, other inhuman acts of similar nature committed with the intent to cause great suffering or serious physical or mental injury or violation of health, and by forced disappearance of persons.
