Trial Judgment to be pronounced in Milodrag Glušac et al.

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina will Monday, 8 June 2026, at 11 a.m., in Courtroom 4, pronounce a Trial Judgment in the criminal case against the accused Milodrag Glušac, Ranko Babić, Ranko Došenović, Zdravko Panić, Trivo Vukić, Milan Vukić, Slobodan Knežević and Milorad Obradović, who are charged with the criminal offense of Crimes against Humanity under Article 172(1)h) of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CC BiH).

The accused are charged with having, in the period from 27 July to 30 July 1992 or about that date, as part of a widespread and systematic attack by the army and police of the Serb Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, subsequently Republika Srpska, directed against the Bosniak and Croat population of the Prijedor municipality, knowing about the attack and that their actions were part of the attack, the accused Milodrag Glušac, in his capacity as Deputy Commander of the 6th Ljubija Battalion of the 43rd Brigade of the Army of the Republika Srpska (VRS), Ranko Došenović, in his capacity as Assistant Commander for Security of the 6th Ljubija Battalion of the 43rd Brigade of the VRS, Ranko Babić as the lead operative of the 6th Ljubija Battalion of the 43rd Brigade of the VRS and advisor to Commander Rade Bilbija, and the other accused as members of the aforementioned battalion, that is, members of the military and civilian police, knowing about such an attack and that their actions were part of such an attack, knowingly and significantly contributing to the joint criminal enterprise of the civilian and military authorities of the Prijedor municipality, participated in the persecution of Bosniak civilians from the territory of the Prijedor municipality, namely the villages of Rizvanovići, Rakovčani, Zecovi, Čarakovo, Hambarine, Bišćani, Briševo, Kozarac, as well as from other places in the Prijedor municipality, through unlawful imprisonment and deprivation of liberty, persecution on discriminatory grounds, based on ethnic, political and religious affiliation, and within this framework, committed acts of murder, torture, transfer and deportation, which resulted in the murder of at least 100 Bosniak civilians.
