On 5 January 2026 the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed an Indictment against the accused Mirko Perišić, charging him with the criminal offense of Fraud in Office under Article 222(3) CC BiH as read with Paragraph 1 of the same Article, all in conjunction with Article 54 of the Code.
According to the Indictment, the accused Mirko Perišić, as an official person in the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina i.e. an employee of the BiH Ministry of Foreign Affairs, assigned to the position of driver-security guard in the Office of the Deputy Minister, in the period from 10 May 2007 to 26 October 2012, with the intention of obtaining unlawful material gain, submitted false calculations to the BiH Ministry of Foreign Affairs, based on false-forged hotel invoices of the Hotel "Bosna" a.d. Banja Luka and the Hotel "Palace" a.d. Banja Luka, in his own name, for accommodation services in Banja Luka, knowing full well that these were forged hotel invoices, thereby misleading authorized persons at the BiH Ministry of Foreign Affairs to make unlawful payments, thus obtaining ill-gotten gain for himself in the amount of at least 67,554.00 BAM, by which amount the Budget of the BiH Ministry of Foreign Affairs, i.e. the Budget of Bosnia and Herzegovina, was damaged.
