A delegation of the European Union Agency for Criminal Justice Cooperation (EUROJUST) visited today, 13 June 2025, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
At the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the EUROJUST Delegation was hosted by Judge Minka Kreho, Acting President of the Court of BiH, Judge Željka Marenić, Head of the Criminal Division of the Court of BiH, and Emira Hodžić, Registrar of the Court of BiH. The visitors were introduced into the history of the Court of BiH, as well as its jurisdiction, organization, functioning and activities. A particular reference was made to the manner in which the Office of the Registrar has been integrated within all the Court of BiH Divisions, as well as the manner in which international judges provided their assistance in the development of the Court’s case law. The guests have shown the major interest in organized crime cases, cases concerning evidence obtained from the Sky and Anom applications, as well as cases related to smuggling of migrants and trafficking in people.
Members of the delegation also visited the premises of Witness Support Section, where they were informed of the Section activities, challenges it has been faced with, as well as of the manner of their communication with witnesses and victims during criminal proceedings. The guests also visited the largest courtrooms in the Court of BiH, where members of the Public Information Section provided them more detailed information on the Court’s communications with the public.
