Senadin Begtašević was born in Konjic in 1952. He graduated from the University of Sarajevo, Faculty of Law, in 1975. He completed the internship for a judge in the Municipal Court in Konjic, and was appointed judge of that court after passing the bar exam in 1976.

He was a judge at the Municipal Court in Konjic until 1995 (as well as the two-term Court President).

During the time period from 1995 to 18 January 2007, when he was appointed judge of the Court of BiH, he worked as an attorney.
