Suspects in the case of Darko Jovanović et al. ordered into custody

Ruling on the Prosecutor’s Motion to order custody of the suspects in the case of Darko Jovanović et al. (S1 2 K 040875 21 Krn), on 27 July 2021 the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued a Decision granting the Prosecutor’s Motion, and ordered pre-trial custody of the suspects Darko Jovanović, Murat Dizdarević, Almir Pehlić and Armin Sefić.

 

According to the Decision, custody may last for a maximum of one month running from the day of arrest, meaning until 25 August 2021 or pending a new decision by the Court.

 

Custody is ordered due to the existing particular custody grounds set forth in Article 132(1)a) of the Criminal Procedure Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CPC BiH) in relation to the suspect Darko Jovanović (risk of flight), Article 132(1)b) in relation to all the suspects (fear that they will destroy or conceal evidence, and exert influence on the witnesses), and Article 132(1)c) in relation to the suspects Darko Jovanović and Almir Pehlić (fear that they will repeat or complete the attempted criminal offense).

 

They are suspected of committing the criminal offence of Organised Crime in violation of Article 250 of the Criminal Code of B&H as read with the criminal offence of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs in violation of Article 195 of the CC B&H.
