Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and School of Law, University of Sarajevo, Launch Implementation of Cooperation Agreement

Prof. Dr. Fikret Karčić, Vice Dean of the School of Law, University of Sarajevo, Thursday held a presentation at the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the topic of “Religion and Terrorism.”

 

Last June, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the School of Law, University of Sarajevo, signed an Agreement on Scientific, Educational and Professional Cooperation. The Agreement covers several aspects of cooperation, namely 1. Lectures and Presentations, 2. Students, 3. Professional Gatherings and 4. Research. According to the Agreement, the Court and the School of Law have defined the first quarterly Calendar of Activities, which specified the steps to be taken for the development of a higher degree of cooperation between the two judicial and educational institutions.

 

Prof. Dr. Fikret Karčić spoke about the topic of “Religion and Terrorism”, in attendance of judges, Court Registrar, heads of internal organizational units and professional support staff. This is the first such presentation held in the framework of implementation of this segment of the Cooperation Agreement, which will include a series of lectures and presentations by representatives of the Court and the School of Law, concerning selected topics of significance for both theory and practice. The purpose of this type of cooperation is to improve expertise and exchange mutual experiences.

 

The Court and the School of Law will continue to carry out activities in line with the agreed plan, of which the public will be duly informed.
