Vesna Jesenković was born on 1965 in Sarajevo, where she completed her primary and secondary education and graduated from the Law School in 1988.  She volunteered at the Basic Court in Sarajevo and completed her internship from 1988 to 1990, after which she passed her bar exam in 1991. Between 1993 and 1995, she worked as a professional associate at the Municipal Court II in Sarajevo and from 1998 she worked as a lawyer with the Commission for Real Property Claims of Displaced Persons and Refugees (CRPC) until 2003, when she was appointed Judge of the Municipal Court in Sarajevo. She was appointed Judge of the Court of BiH on 29 May 2008 and assumed her duty on 1 July 2008.
