Amela Huskić was born in 1960 in Sarajevo, where she graduated from Grammar School and subsequently from the Faculty of Law. She worked as an intern at the Municipal Court 2 in Sarajevo from 1988 to 1990, and having passed the bar exam in 1992, she continued working at the same court as a legal officer. She was appointed judge of the Municipal Court in Sarajevo in 1995, and she worked on criminal cases. In 2004 she became the President of the Criminal Division in the Court in 2004, and she takes active part in the work of the Judicial and Prosecutorial Training Centre as an educator. She was appointed a Judge of the Court of Bosnia-Herzegovina on 27 May 2010.
