Sena Uzunović graduated from the Law School of the University of Sarajevo in 1984. She began her professional career in 1985 in the Municipality of Hadžići, at the Property and Legal Affairs Department, where she worked until 1991.

In 1993 she was appointed a judge at the District Military Court in Mostar – Konjic Department, where she stayed until 1996, which is when she was appointed a judge at the Higher Court in Mostar.

From 1998 to 2001 she was Deputy Minister of Finances for legal and general affairs at the BiH Federation Ministry of Finances, as well as legal advisor at the Office of the BiH Federation Deputy Prime Minister.

From 2001 to 2003 she was a judge at the Municipal Court I in Sarajevo, while from 2003 to 2007 she was a prosecutor at the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office in Sarajevo – Department for Economic Crime and Corruption.

She was appointed prosecutor at the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina by decision of the high Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina in January 2007, and then as Deputy Head of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption in early 2009.

At the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption, Prosecutor Uzunović was Head of the Subdivision for Fight against Human Trafficking and Smuggling of People, and was a member of the Task Force for Fight against Terrorism, member of the Working Group for the CPC and CC of the FBiH, set up within the BiH Justice Ministry, and a reserve member of the BiH Security Ministry’s Working Group for preparing a Draft Law on the Prevention of and Fight against Terrorism.

Judge Sena Uzunović was an educator and trainer at seminars and conferences organized by the Center for Judicial and Prosecutorial Training in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, IOM, UN Mission, OSCE and UNODC.

She was appointed a judge at the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina on 7 August 2022, and took office on 8 August 2022.
