BRACO STUPAR was born in Prača on 1 January 1957 where he finished the primary school. Mr. Stupar graduated from the High School and the Faculty of Law in Sarajevo. His first employment experience was in 1984 at the “ŠIK” Knitwear Industry in Sarajevo. In 1987, Mr. Stupar was employed as an administrative officer at the Higher Court in Sarajevo, while during the war period he managed the activities of the referenced Court’s administration office. Mr. Stupar passed his bar exam in 1996, whereupon he was assigned to the post of a legal officer at the Business Subjects Register. In 1999, Mr. Stupar was appointed a judge of the Basic Court I in Sarajevo, where he worked within the Civil Department (enforcement, Register, economic disputes). In 2010. Mr. Stupar was appointed a judge of the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo and assigned to the Civil Department, where he decided on appeals filed from first-instance decisions and proposals for recognition of foreign courts decisions. Mr. Stupar is occasionally engaged as an educator at the Center for Education of Judges and Prosecutors. In addition, he co-authored the Manual for judges and prosecutors from the field of intellectual ownership, where his paper on the topic “Protection of the Rights of Integrated Circuit Topography” was also published.

On 14 February 2019, Mr. Stupar was appointed a judge of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and he assumed his judicial office on 1 April 2019.
