Burzić Dalida
Judge

Dalida Burzić was born on 27 November 1963 in Sarajevo, where she graduated from the “Prva gimnazija” High School. In 1987, Ms. Burzić graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University in Sarajevo.

Between 1988 and 1990, Ms. Burzić worked as a legal trainee at the Basic Court II in Sarajevo. Ms. Burzić passed the bar exam in 1990, whereupon she worked as a legal officer at the Basic Court II in Sarajevo through 1994, when she was appointed a judge at the Basic Court II in Sarajevo.

During the period between 2001 and 2003, Ms. Burzić also worked as a legal officer at the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo, whereupon she was appointed Cantonal Prosecutor at the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office in Sarajevo.

In 2007, Ms. Burzić held the post of a judge at the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo, and in 2012 she was appointed as the President of the Criminal Division of the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo.

In the period from late December 2014 until March 2019 Ms. Burzić held the post of a Chief Prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office in Sarajevo.

The High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC) issued a decision on 14 February 2019 appointing Ms. Burzić as the Judge of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Ms. Burzić has also published a number of papers, and participated as a CEST educator and active expert in workshops organized in the field of criminal law in both Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad. Ms. Burzić was a member of an expert working group at the HJPC, where she prepared questions pertaining to the field of criminal law for candidates being selected for judicial functions for the first time.

In December 2015, Ms. Burzić received an anticorruption award from the U.S. Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Ms. Burzić is a member of the Bar Exam Commission of the FBiH.
