Lejla Konjić Dragović was born in 1979 in Tuzla. She completed the High School in Tuzla, and subsequently, in July 2002, she graduated from the Law School, University in Sarajevo. In February 2006, she won a master's degree at the post-graduate “European Studies” with the master thesis: “Exercising the Right to a Fair Trial under Article 6 of the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedom”. Ms. Konjić passed the bar exam in November 2006.

During the period from October 2002 through January 2005, Ms. Konjić worked as a law firm intern. She was subsequently employed as a court trainee in the Registry of the Court of BiH, where she worked until May 2005, when she started working as a Legal Officer in the Court Management Division of the Registry of the Court of BiH. In March 2007, Ms. Konjić started working as a Legal Advisor in the Legal Department of the Registry of the Court of BiH, where she worked until 15 April 2010, when she was appointed judge of the Municipal Court in Sarajevo. Ms. Konjić worked as a Judge in the Criminal Division of the Municipal Court Sarajevo until 6 March 2014, when she was appointed prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH. Ms. Konjić worked in the Special Department for War Crimes of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office until 13 April 2016, when she was appointed judge of the Court of BiH.
