Trial Verdict handed down in the case v. Satko Kekić et al.

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina handed down today the Trial Verdict in the case v. Satko Kekić et al. under which the Accused Satko Kekić, Amir Fazlić, Dželad Palić and Zuhra Kekić are found guilty of the criminal offense of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs in violation of Article 195(2) as read with Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of BIH. In that regard, the Court sentenced the Accused Satko Kekić to prison term of 5 (five) years and the Accused Amir Fazlić, Dželad Palić and Zuhra Kekić to prison term of 1 (one) year each.
Suspects in the case v. Marijan Brnjić et al. ordered into custody

Deciding upon the Motion of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina rendered the Decision dated 22 April 2014 ordering the Suspects Marijan Brnjić, Pavo Glavaš, Ilija Glavaš and Martin Barukčić into one-month custody. According to the Decision, the custody of Marijan Brnjić, Pavo Glavaš and Ilija Glavaš may last until 20 May 2014 and the custody of Martin Barukčić until 21 May 2014 or pending a new Decision of the Court.
Trial Verdict handed down in the case v. Šemsudin Hodžić et al.

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina handed down today the Trial Verdict in the case v. Šemsudin Hodžić et al. under which the first-Accused Šemsudin Hodžić is found guilty of the criminal offense of Organized Crimes in violation of Article 250(3) of the CC of BIH as read with the criminal offense of Aggravated Theft in violation of Article 287(1)(a) of the CC of FBIH as read with Article 55 of the said Law, and under paragraph 59 of the operative part of the Verdict of the criminal offense of Organized Crime as read with the criminal offense of Concealing in violation of Article 300(1) of the CC of FBIH, and the second-Accused Admir Kovačević under certain paragraphs of the operative part of the Verdict is found guilty of the criminal offense Organized Crime in violation of Article 250(2) of the CC of BIH as read with the criminal offense of Aggravated Theft in violation of Article 287(1)(a) of the CC of FBIH as read with Article 55 of the said Law. In that regard, the Court sentenced the Accused Šemsudin Hodžić to prison term of 11 (eleven) years and the Accused Admir Kovačević to prison term of 5 (five) years. At the same time, the Accused Vladimir Lizdek is acquitted of the charges for the criminal offense of Organized Crime in violation of Article 250(2) of the CC of BIH as read with the criminal offense of Aggravated Theft in violation of Article 287(1)(a) of the CC of FBIH.

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed on 4 April 2014 the Indictment of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina under which the Accused: Ivica Ćuk, Damir Ćuk and legal entity Elipsa d.o.o. for trade and services export-import Posušje are charged with the criminal offense of Tax Evasion and the Accused Dinko Ramljak with the criminal offense of Lack of Commitment in Office.
Public session in the case v. Zijad Turković et al.

Zijad Turković et al. before the Section II for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption of the Appeals Division of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is scheduled to take place on 23 April 2014, beginning at 1:00 p.m. in Courtroom 6. The session shall resume on 24 and 25 April 2014 at 1.00 p.m. in Courtroom 6.

Muhidin Bašić and Mirsad Šijak sentenced to seven years in prison each

The Panel of the Section I for War Crimes of the Appeals Division of the Court of BIH sent out on 10 April 2014 the second-instance Verdict in the case v. Muhidin Bašić et al. granting in part an appeal by the Defense Counsel for the Accused Bašić filed on grounds of erroneous application of the criminal code in as much as the Accused Muhidin Bašić and Mirsad Šijak are found guilty of the criminal offense of War Crimes against Civilians in violation of Article 142(1) of the Criminal Code of the Socialist Federative Republic of Yugoslavia (CC SFRY) as read with Article 22 of the CC SFRY (co-perpetration), and granting the Prosecution appeal sentenced the Accused Muhidin Bašić and Mirsad Šijak to prison term of 7 (seven) years each. The Trial Verdict remains unchanged in other parts.

Laktaši, Goran Todorović, legal entity VG Premium d.o.o. Banja Luka, Predrag Vidić, Aleksandar Vuković, legal entity Forteco d.o.o. Laktaši, Zoran Pavlović, legal entity Zoral Komerc d.o.o. Banja Luka, Radovan Kekerović, legal entity MB Kekerović d.o.o. Trn, Laktaši, Biljana Trivundža, legal entity TRI-Mar d.o.o. Novi Grad, Slobodan Marčeta, legal entity Liberty d.o.o. Custody and prohibiting measures ordered in the case v. Arif Peleš et al.

Deciding upon the specified Motion of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina rendered the Decision dated 11 April 2014 ordering the Suspect Arif Peleš into one-month custody. According to the Decision, the custody may last until 10 May 2014 or pending a new Decision of the Court.
Dražen Mikulić sentenced to one-and-a-half year in prison

The Panel of the Section I for War Crimes of the Appeals Division of the Court of BIH handed down today the second-instance Verdict under which the Accused Dražen Mikulić is found guilty of the criminal offense of War Crimes against Civilians in violation of Article 142(1) of the Criminal Code of the Socialist Federative Republic of Yugoslavia (CC SFRY) as read with Article 22 of the CC SFRY (co-perpetration) and in that regard imposed on him a prison sentence for a term of 1 (one) year and 6 (six) months. Under the same Verdict, the Accused Mikulić is acquitted of the criminal offense of War Crimes against Civilians in violation of Article 173(1)(c) as read with Article 180(1) of the Criminal Code of BIH (the CC of BIH). No appeal lies from this Verdict.
